8th Grade Fair

Description:  
 
Buddy Family
Chair:   Wendy Hoch
Description:  

This committee was established to ease the transition for new families into the district. Buddy families are expected to reach out to their assigned family, welcome them to town, host a playdate and provide tips that would be helpful for a new family in our district. The Committee Chair will work to pair buddy families with incoming families & host a get together with buddy families and new families.

 
Fall Fundraiser

Description:  

Family Photo Session

 
Spring Fundraiser
Chair:   OPEN
Description:  

This event is the major fundraiser for the HSA.  Time is spent organizing the event, including theme, facility, logistics, decorations, auction items and other fundraising activities. 

 

 
After School Enrichment
Chair:   Clemence Edelman & Megan Brozowski
Description:  

The enrichment chair works with the Hilltop principal to create club lists, collect payment, and communicate with parents.

 
Hilltop Staff Appreciation
Chair:   OPEN
Description:  

Chairs help to coordinate luncheons to honor the teachers for their hard work. The chairs organize the sign up sheets and distribute these to solicit volunteers to supply food and set-up/clean-up throughout the year on various teacher in service days. Approximately 4 luncheons throughout the year.

 
Mountain View Staff Appreciation
Chair:   Stepanie Fourie, Gina Flores, Kris Horton, Beatriz Morales
Description:  

Chairs help to coordinate luncheons to honor the teachers for their hard work. The chairs organize the sign up sheets and distribute these to solicit volunteers to supply food and set-up/clean-up help during one week in May.

 
Hilltop Memory Book

Description:  

This committee is responsible for taking pictures of the students at Hilltop throughout the school year at various events.  The chair will coordinate the organization of the book and the committee will assist in helping to identify the names of all the students in the book.  It would be helpful to have at least one volunteer from each grade represented on this committee. Digital camera experience a plus.

 
Display My Art
Chair:   Kathleen Hickey & Kelly Gillard
Description:  

This committee coordinates with the art teachers at Hilltop to create an art project per grade level that can be ordered on various items such as mugs, magnets, etc. The committee collects orders and helps to distribute them.

 
Donation Program
Chair:   Crissy Adinolfi & Julie Mauer
Description:  

These programs raise funds for the HSA by informing the school of the donation programs, collecting and submitting Box Tops for Education in both Hilltop and Mountain View Schools.

 
Book Fair

Description:  

The book fair committee raises funds through a one week book fair at Hilltop in the fall. Volunteers are needed at the book fair, during set-up & take-down.

 
Harvest Hustle

Description:  

This committee is responsible for planning the annual Harvest Hustle 5K race and Kids Fun Run, to be held in October.  Volunteers help on various committees, including sponsorship, marketing, registration, logos & t-shirt design, course monitoring, and volunteer coordination. Many volunteers are needed solely on the race day to help direct runners and cheer.

 
Hilltop Bingo Night

Description:  

This committee coordinates this fun family event at Hilltop.  Time is spent organizing the event, including marketing, items for concession stand, theme (if desired) and running the event.  To be held in the winter months.

 
Hilltop Kids Care
Chair:   Meredith Arena
Description:  

This committee provides our children with hands-on projects that help foster volunteerism and community spirit.  It helps our children recognize that they have the power to make a difference locally and globally.  Volunteers will be asked to coordinate various volunteer/ fund-raising opportunities for the students.  As projects run throughout the school year, please feel free to donate your time on a month that suits you!  

All volunteers will be required to attend mandatory training and education supplied by the administration.

 
Mountain View Room Parents
Chair:   ELizabeth Caravetta
Description:  

The room parents are asked to help coordinate activities for the class/teacher, communicate class information to the parents and coordinate various class events throughout the school year.

 
Hilltop Lunchroom Helpers
Chair:   Kelly Gillard
Description:  

This committee provides the Hilltop cafeteria with a few extra helping hands. Volunteers assist in the lunchroom during K-3 scheduled lunches. Siblings may not attend. Volunteers would be scheduled 1-2 days a month, 11AM—12:50 PM. Chair is responsible for setting up schedule.

All volunteers will be required to attend mandatory training and education supplied by the administration.  

 
Hilltop Library Helpers

Description:  

Volunteers for this committee are asked to help in the Hilltop library. They assist children with checking out books and shelving returned books. Training provided. Chair is responsible for setting up schedule.

All volunteers will be required to attend mandatory training and education supplied by the administration.  Schedules for this training will be published in the coming weeks.

 
Hilltop Birthday Book Club
Chair:   Kristin Leo, Jennifer Walsh
Description:  

This committee will process orders, create book dedication stickers and update the Birthday Book Club hallway display.  Volunteers are asked to sign-up on dates specified by the chair to come in to help the children choose a book from the birthday book cart and check the books out to the children who are celebrating.

 
School Garden

Description:  

This committee helps to maintain seasonal plantings and the landscape. No gardening experience necessary, but you have to be willing to get your hands dirty.

 
Spirit Wear
Chair:   Kris Wagoner
Description:  

The chair coordinates the sale and distribution of spirit wear, T-shirts, shorts etc.

 
Cultural Arts

Description:  

This committee helps coordinate all cultural arts programs provided at both Mountain View and Hilltop.

 
Green Initiatives

Description:  

This committee coordinates recycling opportunities for the school including ink cartridges, yogurt cups, crayons, glue bottles, CDs and DVDs.  The Committee encourages all things green to be given a second life.

 
Hilltop Fourth Grade Movie Night

Description:  

This committee coordinates a fun event at Hilltop for the fourth grade class.  Time is spent organizing the event, including marketing, items for concession stand, theme (if desired) and running the event.

 
Mountain View Balloons in June
Chair:   Closed
Description:  

Organizes the Balloons in June at Mountain View by creating a flyer, advertising the event, and coordinating the distribution of balloons.

 
Hilltop Field Day

Description:  

The Chair & Co-Chairs meet with Mr. Heller to design the field day activities and ensure enough volunteers are present to help the day of the event and to supply the necessary items to make this day a success!

 
School Supply Kits

Description:  

This committee helps to coordinate with teaching staff, the school supply company and the school community to organize and plan the selling and distribution of school supply kits.
